Finally the sun, enjoyed with family

We finally found the sun and along with it we've been enjoying time with family. After leaving Cape D, we headed up to see Stephanie and Mike and the three grandsons in Port Orchard Wa. Visited with them for three days, taking the boys to the Woodland Park zoo one day. The next three days were spent out by my sister Janice's. We had a great Labor Day bar-b-que with she and Randy and their family, Tony and his daughter Kiera, Samantha and her new fiance Jason as well as Steph and her family. We are now in Spokane for a week visiting with Joe and Alex and once again having a great time. Alex is 2 ½ and full of energy, giggles, kisses and hugs!

We have done a little sightseeing here in Spokane, yesterday we took a drive to Sand Point Idaho. It is a nice little town on beautiful Pend Oreille Lake. A note on this area, if you want to visit, be sure to come before Labor Day. Most of the attractions, like riding up Schweitzer Mountain, or taking a lake cruise close at that time even if the weather is still good. We also took a ride to Riverside State Park in Spokane to see and area called the Pitcher and Bowl.  Beautiful volcanic cones in the Spokane River that resemble a pitcher and a bowl.

A chuckle, someplace we don‘t think we would like to live….. South of Sand Point Idaho is a little town called Athol. Yes, it is pronounced like it looks. We laughed thinking people who live there are called Ath-holians. (hope we have not offended anyone who may have lived there or know someone who does)

Something else we found on the road to Sand Point was an 2005 RV for sale on the side of the road. We pulled off and took a look then called the number on the sign. The owner drove out and spent about 45 minutes with us as we looked at it. It is very tempting, it has most of the things we are looking for. We will think about it. Anyone want to buy a 2001 Pace Arrow?

We will be leaving here tomorrow and heading to Sun River Oregon to spend the weekend with a group of our friends from Portland who are there for a long weekend. After that, our plans are to start working our way south to Arizona and to hopefully meet up with Irene and Joe along the way, friends we met while at Honeyman this last summer.
