The end of an incredible year

Deane and I cannot believe that 2010 is coming to an end.  It has been one very incredible year, with one very low point and many high points.

December this year was an interesting month.  Lows were both of us coming down with bad colds, my coming home from Cabo with Montezuma's revenge and having to be on antibiotics. Highs were having D'enne, Michael and Matthew here for a week before Christmas and spending Christmas day with my brother and Mary.  We both definitely missed spending the holiday with our families and friends, but we will be there next year for sure.

This past year has been filled with so much fun and adventure it is hard to identify what the highest point was.  Our three month honeymoon from Arizona to the Panama Canal and Florida will always be that once in a lifetime trip.  All of the other incredible places we visited in our travels are not to be trivialized either. Death Valley, Lone Pine, Bryce and Zion National Parks, the City of Rocks, Slot Canyons and the Grand Canyon can't be forgotten.

Our time hosting in the State parks of Oregon and Washington was so much fun, even if we did not see much sunshine during those four months.  We met some great new life long friends and got to visit with old friends and families.

Coming back to Arizona in October to make a decision to either buy a home here or a new RV was not easy to do. We spent two months searching and found both a house and an RV we loved.  The decision came down to what we really wanted to do.... and in the end we both realized we did not want to live in Arizona, we still wanted to travel and see more of this country and the NW is really our home.  So, we bought the RV we fell in love with, a diesel 2005 Alpha See Ya.  It has the feel of a home and we could not be happier with our decision.

If you have read our previous blogs this year, you know where we have been and the fun we have had.  We look forward to doing the same in the coming year 2011 and that you will continue to follow us and let us hear from you.

We wish you the Happiest of New Year, filled with love, laughter, friendships and family.
